Founded in 2003, The Hawthorne Consulting Group was focused on delivering financial consulting services to enterprises of various sizes. Much of the effort was centered on financial information and assisting organizations with their budgeting process. As a result of these efforts there were several items these organizations had in common:

	They were not satisfied with the software solutions they were using for their budgeting process
	They were constantly in a position were they required consultants to help them
	The cost to support these solutions was rising every year
	Keeping resources trained to use these applications was challenging and costly
	Pulling together information from disparate systems was impossible, making the entire budgeting process even more difficult

In the summer if 2004 The Hawthorne Consulting Group embarked upon a journey to develop an application that would:

	Be easy to use
	Affordable to own and support
	Easily integrate information from disparate systems

From this journey a new breed of Business Performance Management software was born. It's called HCGPrevision.
