The user interface for HCGPrevision is Microsoft Excel, leveraging the features that already exist in Excel as well as users' existing knowledge and skills for working in Excel. The data store for the application is a Microsoft SQL Server database built specifically for business performance management tasks including analytics, budgeting and planning. It includes built-in functionality for consolidation of data from multiple disparate data sources, unlimited years of actual/historical, budget and forecast data, and accommodates both financial and non-financial data and drivers for the budgeting and planning process.
